I recieved a beautiful letter from Silas today telling about his ongoing relationship with Windhorse Farm. He first came to visit in 2005, returned to work and live for 6 weeks in 2006 and then again for 5 Months in 2009. Here is an excerpt from the letter he sent…”There was enough sense of community which made me feel at home because that is my life, I learnt more about gardening from a well and qualified Chris from the United States of America, who was my manager, and Margaret Drescher who is an expert in plants and flowers, I learned how to play drums from Garrett, found love in the name of Karuna Jenny Korz, meditated everyday with the community (got the chance to meditate with Tatjana who was on a hundred day retreat),went on night walks with Jim Drescher, went on canoe rides in the lake , enjoyed fresh vegetables, eggs and honey from the Farm.,went on cruise with a fourwheeler with Wayne, and got some help with office work form Angie Bruhm. My relationship with the farm continues and it is my hope that one day I will return with family to show them what I have gained from the Farm. Thank you Windhorse Farm and all the people who have come through it.” Silas lives in Kufunda Village (http://www.kufunda.org) in Zimbabwe. He first connected with WHF through Berkana Institute.
